More than 4 decades ago, Daniël Ost and his wife Marie-Anne founded Floreal, a small flower shop in the provincial town of Sint-Niklaas. The former beating heart of the business has been transformed from a flower shop into a creative workshop, and Daniël and Marie-Anne still live above the workshop and conservatory.

Because Daniël Ost is an avid collector, the building has become more of a personal museum for the family. A large collection of art nouveau and art deco vases are combined with old Japanese painted screens.
It also houses the Ost Library with more than 1,000 books on floral art, design and architecture, some dating back as far as the 17th century.

This beautiful building by the famous architect Paul Hankar - pioneer and key figure of the Belgian Art Nouveau scene - houses the second florist shop of Daniel Ost in the Belgian capital, Brussels.
After years of decay, it was Daniel Ost himself who decided - in 2002 - to renovate the whole place, bringing its original grandeur back to life.

Today, the shop is a magical place that combines architecture, flowers and art in the middle of Brussels' thriving city centre.
In no time, this flower shop became the favourite place of many international companies, political institutions and luxury hotels in the capital.
Even the royal family has been a loyal customer since then.

As the Middle East has been an important market over the years, the first shop there was opened in 2019. Together with a well-known business family, the Daniel Ost flagship store in Jordan's trendy capital, Amman, was established.The shop acted as a test case for further international growth and proved to be a great success.

Close cooperation between the core team in Belgium and local florists has made this the new go-to shop for many luxury hotels, boutiques and event planners in Jordan. The shop is strategically located on one of Amman's busiest roads and is opposite the iconic InterContinental Hotel.
